Is Computer-Based IELTS Different?
The computer-based version still assesses the same four skills: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking.
IELTS states that the move to computer delivery does not change the skills assessed, the test construct or the interpretation of results.

Instead of writing answers on a traditional paper test, candidates increasingly complete the relevant sections using a computer.

Computer-based Writing requires candidates to organise ideas while typing.

Candidates using this option complete the other relevant components on computer but handwrite their Writing responses. The task types, scoring and time allocation remain the same.
This option is not available for IELTS for UKVI.

Do not wait until the week before the exam to practise on a computer.
Include digital practice in your regular study routine. Complete full mock tests, practise timed Writing tasks and become comfortable reading long passages on screen.
