Planning to take your postgraduate studies to the next level? Bournemouth University offers an Academic Achievement Scholarship that could provide eligible students with a £2,000 tuition fee reduction.
This scholarship recognises students with an excellent academic record and is available for eligible courses starting in January 2026, September 2026, or January 2027. The scholarship cannot be deferred.
What Does the Scholarship Offer?
The Academic Achievement Scholarship provides a £2,000 reduction in tuition fees. There is no separate scholarship application form, but eligible applicants must provide the required qualification evidence through the university’s application process and meet all relevant criteria.
The scholarship is available to eligible UK, Republic of Ireland and Channel Islands students applying for an on-campus:
- Full-time taught postgraduate degree
- Part-time structured postgraduate degree
- Master’s by Research
Applicants generally need an upper second-class honours degree (2:1) or above, or a CPE qualification with a merit profile.
How Do You Receive the £2,000?
One of the major advantages of this scholarship is that no separate scholarship application is required. However, you must upload evidence of your qualifications to myHub within the required timeframe.
For September starters, the evidence must be uploaded before the end of January of the following year. For January starters, it must be uploaded before the end of June. Once eligibility is confirmed, the tuition fee reduction is applied during online registration.
Can You Combine It With Other Scholarships?
Eligible students may receive the Academic Achievement Scholarship alongside a Sports or Music Scholarship. However, it cannot normally be combined with another academic award. Certain courses and study modes are also excluded, so applicants should carefully review the full eligibility criteria before applying.
