Turn Your International Baccalaureate Achievement into a Bigger Opportunity

Your International Baccalaureate journey is more than a collection of grades—it could open the door to significant financial support for your university education in Scotland.

Abertay University is offering the Abertay IB30+ Scholarship for eligible international undergraduate students who achieve 30 or more points in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).

With an award worth £7,000 per year for up to four years, successful students could receive financial support of up to £28,000, helping to reduce their tuition fee costs while they focus on building their future.

Who Can Apply?

You may be eligible if you:

• Are classified as an international or overseas fee-paying student.
• Achieve 30 or more points in the IBDP.
• Hold an offer for a full-time, on-campus undergraduate programme at Abertay University starting in the 2026/27 or 2027/28 academic year.
• Meet all the academic conditions attached to your offer.
• Are joining as a new full-time student, including through eligible advanced entry into Year 2 or above.

Students applying through the International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IBCP) may also be considered on a case-by-case basis.

No Separate Scholarship Application Needed

One of the best features of this scholarship is its simple process. There is no separate application form.

When you apply for an eligible course at Abertay University, your eligibility for the scholarship is assessed automatically. If you meet the requirements and receive the scholarship, Abertay will notify you by email after your study offer.

The funding application deadline is 31 August 2027, so eligible students planning their undergraduate studies should make sure they understand the admission and scholarship requirements well in advance.

Can You Combine Scholarships?

Yes—eligible students may also receive support alongside the Abertay International Scholarship. However, the combined annual scholarship value is capped at £7,000 per year, including £3,000 from the Abertay International Scholarship and £4,000 from the Abertay IB30+ Scholarship.
